Santa Cruz is a wonderful city located on the Island of Tenerife, the biggest island of the Canary islands. The Alisius winds provide, together with the location of the island, a permanent spring weather; not too hot in summer, not too cold winter.

The city is ideal for walking along its avenues and pedestrian streets. The islands are under a low tax regime which makes the city the perfect place for shopping. There are also interesting buildings along the city; traditional as the church Nuestra Señora de La Concepción from 1500 or modern as the Auditorium, designed by the famous Spanish architect Calatrava, which looks like a starship.

In a short ride, we would be able to change completely your scene: the mountain chain of Taganana in the North, a very humid place full of Laurisilva trees; the Teide volcano and its National park in the centre of the island or the southern part, which is arid and semi-desert.

There is also fun for the kids, as there are two very important attractions: Loro Park which has the largest dolphin show pool and the longest shark tunnel in Europe and the world’s largest indoor penguin exhibition, as well as Siam Park, which opened in 2008 and claims to be the biggest water park in Europe.
